new album update

Happy “new” year! Yeah, it’s late February. I know. According to Larry David we only get a couple weeks into January to say “Happy New Year”. And Larry David’s word is *THE* word. So, I’ll just say: happy 2022 and here’s an album update!

The album is (mostly) done tracking, although since I purchased a Fender Tone Master amp, a beautiful Les Paul CS, and built a new pedalboard, I’ve had fun sprinkling in post-tracking overdubs. The mixing is sounding great and has now traversed the halls of four different studios, the venerable Jackpot!, the ambient Map Room, the mysteriously impressive Halfling, and the understated “Adam’s Basement”. It’s taking longer than expected but that’s because this has always been a “no compromise” affair — the album won’t hit the public until Adam Lee, the engineer and producer, tells me its reached a point where no further minute of effort could make it any better. This truly needs to be — and will be — the best sounding collection of songs I’ve ever released. And then it’s show time! I’ve been working on that, although it’s been tough going. Booking shows is not easy right now. Thanks yet again, COVID-19. But good things are happening. Good things are coming. Stay tuned…

new album in the works!

studio time is booked, musicians have been booked, including the strings trio, engineers are booked, tracklist is coming together // i can’t wait to finally make an album right with patience, a pro-level and rehearsed band, ample resources, and what I think is a solid set of songs // look for updates later in the summer, as well as some long overdue updates to the website // there’s also chatter of a show in early 2022 at my favorite local venue, so lots to look forward to in the near future!

THANK YOU!

that was the most fun i’ve ever had playing a show / thanks to everyone that made it out!
